WICHITA, Kansas — Dora Gallo’s header in the 89th minute gave FC Wichita a 2-1 victory over Oklahoma City FC on Wednesday night.
The result was difficult for Oklahoma City, for the visitors appeared to have earned a point with Courtney Dike’s (Edmond/Nigerian National Team) penalty goal in the 75th minute.
A scoreless first half saw minimal scoring chances from either side, though Oklahoma City earned its fair share of possession. FC Wichita opened scoring with Katie Cramer’s goal in the 59th minute.
Oklahoma City is now six points behind FC Wichita in the Southwest Conference standings, but it does have a match in hand on the club it is chasing at the top of the standings.
